Rasmus combines his two decades of experience in international shipping and dedication to customer service to deliver solutions.  In 2014, Rasmus recognized an opportunity to create a boutique provider built on his 20+ years of management-level experience at DSV Air & Sea.  With a focus on building a team of experts and long-term client and vendor relationships, his reputation in the industry has positioned PureFreight as a preferred vendor to top galleries, designers, and furniture makers. In his free time, Rasmus enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Account Manager, Exports and Domestic Industrial

Maria’s career in customer service in this industry spans 25 years, a period in which she has become well-known and appreciated by vendors and clients alike. Previously, Maria held similar positions at Kintetsu World Express, UTI and DSV Air & Sea (where she previously worked with our company founder for six years) in positions of increasing scope and responsibility. Maria enjoys road trips, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

Frank’s expertise in import shipments, customs, and road transit processes is built on 15 years of experience in the industry, previously at CEVA Logistics and Swissport Cargo.  Frank starts every engagement by completely understanding our client’s needs and expectations, and follows through on every detail to guarantee that every shipment is processed and delivered with care, and with his signature friendly and personalized effort.  Frank’s weekend recharging time is spent enjoying the quiet outdoors and historic uncongested towns up and down California’s coast.

Account Manager, Furniture and Decorative Arts

In over 20 years of experience handling shipments of high-value art, furniture and collectibles, Wayne has delivered client experiences that are time-efficient, cost-effective, and seamless, from start to finish. Among his notable professional achievements are being part of the team that handled the international traveling exhibition of Jack Warner’s Hollywood memorabilia for Warner Brothers, and coordinating the shipping of a Star Trek Exhibition for Paramount Studios to the Smithsonian Institution.  Wayne’s free time is spent hiking, doing yoga, and weight training, and trips to Italy.

Robert has 25 years of corporate management experience, including as Vice President of 20th Century and Contemporary Art and Appraisals, Inc. at both Christie’s and Sotheby’s New York and Los Angeles starting in 1993.  In his experiences in the international auction business, Robert has worked closely with major private collections, estates, corporate and museum collections, among many others.  With a keen understanding of high value fine art and transport requirements, Robert is hands on when it comes to every aspect of Fine Art shipping. Robert proudly sits on the Board of Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture in Maine since 2005 and serves as Secretary of his family’s Foundation.  Robert is proud of his Champion show Pug and Boston Terrier dogs, competitive tennis and family philanthropy.

Alan Strasburg

General Manager

Alan has been managing professional services firms for 25 years. With a background in private equity and law firms, he brings a focus on client and customer services to high-end clientele. Additionally, Alan has contributed to numerous non-profit boards in the Los Angeles region, most notably as board chair of The Trevor Project, and as a board member and chair of the audit committee of AIDS Project Los Angeles. In his spare time, Alan enjoys hiking and hosting dinner parties.

Jirka is an IT solutions professional whose 20+ year career has focused on quality control and developing holistic approaches to IT management and operations.  Jirka works closely with the team to define strategy, define and build systems architecture and execute software, networking and cloud computing solutions that support the global business functions of PureFreight, Inc.. Jirka’s commitment to data security and integrity are instrumental in our success.

Ken Blakely

Financial Advisor

Ken’s area of expertise is risk management and support services; he reviews contracts and manages the insurance as well as the financial affairs of the company Ken Blakely earned his MBA as well as his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California. He went to work for Coopers & Lybrand where he spent the bulk of his time focused on one client, Atlantic Richfield. Eventually he joined that firm and spent nineteen years there in various financial roles, from analytic business relations to investor relations.
